Built, Not Broken
This is not a self-help blog.
It’s a field journal.
A record of what happens when a man stops trying to be palatable, stops chasing approval, and starts building a life that actually fits him.
Why The Feral Standard Exists
Modern life is optimized for comfort, compliance, and quiet despair.
We’re told to smooth the edges. Be agreeable. Be efficient. Be normal.
But some of us were never meant to live that way.
Some of us feel most alive when our hands are calloused, our lungs are burning, and our minds are clear because the work is honest.
The Feral Standard exists for those people.
Not broken men.
Built men.
What “Feral” Actually Means
Feral doesn’t mean reckless.
It doesn’t mean angry.
It doesn’t mean abandoning responsibility.
Feral means un-domesticated by bullshit.
It means:
- You choose truth over comfort
- You value capability over appearance
- You train your body because your mind depends on it
- You cook real food, build real things, and face hard conversations
- You’d rather be alone with your dogs and your fire than surrounded by people who drain you
Feral is not chaos.
Feral is clarity.
Built, Not Broken
A lot of men wear their damage like a badge.
I don’t.
I’ve been disappointed. I’ve been ghosted. I’ve loved deeply and watched it fall apart. I’ve outgrown family systems that no longer fit. I’ve sat in jobs that paid well but cost too much.
None of that broke me.
It refined me.
Every mile run before sunrise. Every log split when it would’ve been easier to scroll. Every boundary held instead of chasing validation.
That’s the build.

The Standard
This isn’t about becoming a monk.
Or a trad fantasy.
Or a walking motivational quote.
It’s about asking one hard question:
Does my life feel stronger, calmer, and more honest than it did a year ago?
If the answer is yes — you’re doing it right.
If not — we build.
Final Word
I’m not here to convince you of anything.
I’m documenting what works.
Take what’s useful. Leave what isn’t.
But if you’re tired of pretending you fit a system that was never designed for you —
Welcome.
The fire’s already going.
Done. 🔥
